This blog is the official site for a SERP tracking software application called SERPtracker which I commenced coding in April 2009.
SERPtracker was born out of my own need to find a faster and more efficient way of historically tracking the ranking of dozens of websites (my own and clients). Before I wrote this tool I was spending countless hours manually tracking and reporting this information.
Not any more :)
I also like to write my own software rather than buy off-the-shelf because (a) often off-the-shelf products don’t do exactly what I want and can’t be customised to fit my requirements, (b) searching for all of the off-the-shelf products and testing them takes ages, and (c) I can make money selling my own software products that I develop and recoup (some or hopefully all) of my time.
This site will be used:
- to keep subscribers and affiliates abreast of ongoing releases & developments;
- to document various aspects of my software (how-to’s etc);
- to report on my own on-site & off-site SERPtracker SEO efforts;
- and to offer tip and articles on Internet Marketing (SEO & SEM) in general.
